The Maling Road Business Association (MRBA) created in 1998, is accountable for the management of the marketing and business development fund raised from the annual business levy charged to retailers and businesses in Maling Road as well as funds generated from council and other resources.

The Statement of Purposes for the Association is as follows:

• To act as the central coordinating body to revitalize the Maling Road Village

• To direct and manage funds collected for marketing and business improvement of the Village

• To organize marketing, promotion and business development programs to enhance the Village

• To communicate regularly with traders and other business operators of the Village

• To assist in improving the mix of businesses in the Village

• To assist and advise businesses in the Village on techniques to improve their performance

• To liaise with Council on matters of mutual concern to improve the Village
