A TIME TO SHARE THE CHRISTMAS JOY AT THIS YEAR’S BEST CHILDEN’S FESTIVAL //

KRIS KINDLE AT MALING ROAD, CANTERBURY

Find-out the true joy of spending time with your family during the holiday season on Friday 3rd December at Maling Road. The Maling Road Traders will be hosting the annual KRIS KINDLE FESTIVAL 5-9pm at Canterbury’s historic shopping precinct Maling Road.

MalingRoad050510_94The KRIS KINDLE FESTIVAL had its humble beginnings at Maling Road when Ms Rachel Tracey, local trader and owner of Ring of Roses 25 years ago based it  on an event she discovered on her journeys through Europe. One of the best children’s festivals in Melbourne, this event was originally organised to provide kids the opportunity to find gifts for their parents.

As part of the event, several street traders will be providing free gift making activities for children.

A great family event, this year, the KRIS KINDLE FESTIVAL will even be BIGGER and BETTER in 2010.

There will be live music entertainment, gift making and a bundle of fun targeted towards the entire family – not just kids. Several new rides and features are also available at this year’s event including a giant slide, Christmas showbags, an animal nursery, and a cup and saucer ride.

Maling Road Traders Association President Mr Peter Connolly said “There are lots of activities for the young and young at heart”.

“We have found that several event goers were brought here by their parents and have continued the tradition of attending this event by bringing their own children to Kris Kindle”, said Mr Connolly.

The City of Boroondara, Fletchers and Canterbury Community bank branch of the Bendigo Bank are proud sponsors of this event.
